In the Demon newsgroups only a small minority of replies are from Demon
staff. Most responses will come from people who are willing to give freely of their own
time to help. Some may have professional expertise, many will be experienced
"amateurs", and just a few will be well-meaning but ill-informed enthusiasts who
may seize the wrong end of the stick. It is wise to read the news group carefully over a period of time in order to judge the quality of the advice offered. |
