Note that the ip in many Demon newsgroup names refers to Internet Protocol - i.e. the group is only about Internet matters. Find the right group and you are more likely to get well-informed answers. Don't post your question to several newsgroups "just in case"!

The purpose of demon.ip.support.newuser is explained in the next section. Questions, complaints and even praise about the quality of Demon's service should be made in demon.service. If you want to have a good natter about any topic, use demon.local (but be sure to lurk for a while first: see section 2.6).
