1.9   Which Demon number should I use?

For dial-up modem users, Demon's main numbers (with their nicknames) are:

  0844 099 6662  
g4
  BT charges a significantly lower rate for calls on weekdays (both daytime and evening) to this number.
  0844 041 6662  
g5 (Surftime)
  BT charges a lower rate still to this number for calls in the evening and at weekends.
          Note that if you attempt to use the g5 number during the working day you will pay for a call which will not connect you to Demon's network (unless you have paid for Demon’s Premier Connect Plus service: see 6.3).

Calls to these numbers are routed by different telephone companies to different locations and connect to different types of equipment at Demon, so it is well worth seeing which offers you the best service, especially if you experience connection problems.
