| A common mistake is to use the wrong type
of slash - Unix (the operating system used by most ftp sites) needs / and
not \. If you are unsure, either don't set a remote path or just use /
or /pub - you can then (if your ftp software has a graphical user
interface) click and scroll through the remote directories in the same way as you would on
your own computer. Directory and file names are case sensitive - you cannot use /Pub
