You can read and reply to email without having to dial Demon, providing you can connect to the Internet via another ISP, but you must:

1. Use a special POP3 password. See Section 8.1 on how to set this up.
   
   
2. Either configure your mail software to collect mail by POP3 using this POP3 password (see Section 1.8)
   Or use a WWW browser to connect to Demon's WebMail service:
   
              https://web.mail.demon.net/
   
   https indicates a secure server which uses an encrypted connection to help prevent others from intercepting your mail or password. If you have to use a browser which does not support secure connections, there is an insecure version of the service at http://web.mail.demon.net/main.html

   If you have to use the insecure page, it is particularly important to read this information.

WebMail also provides a means of deleting any unwanted messages without having to download them.
